LaxWorld Lacrosse Club Joins Greene Turtle

We’re excited to announce LaxWorld Lacrosse Club is joining Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club to provide players, of all ages, the opportunity to play on a nationally recognized club team. Recently, due to circumstances beyond their control, LaxWorld Lacrosse Club lost sponsorship for their teams. In order to keep players and coaches focused on the game, LaxWorld approached Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club about combining clubs. After careful due diligence, both clubs felt that shared values and coaching philosophies were aligned for a merger. Lax World Lacrosse Club President, Stephen Jones, and Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club Executive Director, Steve Vaikness formed an alliance for joint tryouts in August in preparation for the fall season. “We are pleased to be joining the Greene Turtle Lacrosse tradition and family. We look forward to continuing the legacy of both clubs – competing at a high level while focusing on skill development and the overall player experience” explained Lax World President Stephen Jones. He continued “When youth club lacrosse first burst onto the scene many years ago, Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club was the club everyone wanted to play for. Their approach to teaching the game is very similar to LaxWorld’s values of competition, character & commitment – and most importantly the family environment. I am certain that our players and families will continue to enjoy their lacrosse experience with the Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club.” Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club Executive Director, Steve Vaikness shared “Our mission is to provide a positive lacrosse experience that will enhance the player’s love of the game, develop advanced skills based on fundamentals, personal development and team concepts. We believe it is our responsibility to reinforce the importance of good character, on and off the field, and the opportunity to make lifelong friendships. With LaxWorld joining our club, we will jointly maintain our club philosophy – provide a positive environment for players to expand his or her talent, compete as a team, and to ensure that players leave our program feeling good about themselves and the game – as they continue to represent Greene Turtle Lacrosse Club.”
